Symbolic Test

Versión española

As Foritensum, the Symbolic Test is born above all with the aspiration to be a game and also an exercise of logical deductive thought.
The test consists of 36 items with gradually increasing its difficulty, as you advance you should deduce the system of symbols used and how they are applied and combined in each case.
To resolve the test it is only required to have an elementary knowledge of the game of chess: the movement of the pieces and the basic rules of the game.
The notation for the answers is very easy:
R = Rook
N = Knight
B = Bishop
Q = Queen
K = King
One ? means that we are requested the name of a piece, for example ? = R
Two ?? means that we are requested some coordinates, for example ?? = g7
Three ??? means that we are requested the name of a piece and its location, or a concrete movement, for example ??? = Kb2
In the notation for pawns the initial P is not written, for example, a pawn located in c5 will simply be indicated by its coordinates: c5 and not Pc5, if this pawn captures another one situated in d6, the annotation is simply: cd
Finally, check is represented by + and checkmate ++.
The white ones usually plays in the lower part of the board and the black in the opposite one.
