Final Thoughts

If you have reached this point you surely think I am a freak with no sense of practical work. In fact I think this so ;OP

Speaking seriously...why do this useless thing...My answer is clear: because it was difficult. First computer games were done with even less resources and with much more effort. Also this is my small contribution to those *true* programmers that spend hours and hours in games like rogue or Nethack.

Despite of this the project gave me a very valuable experience in software and hardware design. Thi was definitely a giant leap from my other ucontroller newbie project.

Things I liked from this project:

-I love RPG games. It is amazing how difficult is to code one of them.

-Extremely difficult programming. PICs not only run out of memory very easily. There are also other limitations like paged memory, have to work always with unsigned integers etc.

-The final appearance of the PCB/system is really cool. At least if you like retro/bare look for your gadgets.

-Almost ¿infinite? battery duration. PIPER only drains 100 mA from the batteries. This is mor or less 25 hours of gaming.

-Inmediate gaming! No freezes, no BSOD...no windows!

-It is incredible, but the game is really fun and playable. I can play a complete game in 30 minutes and every game is totally different.

So here ends this critical contribution to mankind wealth. If you want to contact me (or send me some money)...please leave me a message.
